Re-Ply + NeueHouse

In June of 2020, when I was at The Commission Project, I collaborated with BVN Architecture on the creation of Re-Ply. It was the height of Covid and the powerful protests that took place as a result of George Floyd’s death at the hands of the police. Storefronts were shielded with plywood, turning the city, in the eye of the artist, into a blank canvas on which to create their work as a way of coping.

This art was displayed over a year later at NeueHouse. We designed and installed an exhibition that included some of the boards that had been stored, as well as the stool prototypes and a number of prints, the product of the thousands of photographs of the art taken around the city at that time.
